Your wedding day. Graduation. Pregnant with your firstborn.
These events evoke an interesting reaction, people clamoring around with excitement waiting to see the special person of the day. Everyone wants a moment with the bride, or a picture with the mom to be. What is it that makes everyone crowd around?
It’s the glow.
It’s common to think of a pregnant mom glowing, but remember other special moments in life? In these moments your light was shining brighter than the day before and everything was all about you! Pride beaming, joy exuding. Special moments in life are the times we shine bright.
Shine is contagious.
We eagerly wait to hug the bride because we love her, but also because we want to share in her glow. Day to day things can distract and discourage. We get busy, and sometimes that can dull our shine.
On days when you’re lonely, the house is a mess and the kids are crazy, it can be hard to remember where your shine hides. But our glow, our shine, it doesn’t have to come in big moments. You can find it in the quiet moments; putting your loved one to bed, or seeing your husband open the special gift you bought for him.
Our glow comes from within, when we remember what makes life so special. What makes you shine bright? What are the special moments that make you glow the most?
